In twenty century, we have
consumed a great deal of natural resources and discarded a
vast amount of waste materials into the environment. We now
realize that the amount of available resources and capacity
to accept waste materials on earth have strict limitation.
Facing to this situation, we have to establish a novel
sustainable human society in which regeneration and recycle
use of bioresources with reduced emission must be achieved
together with conservation of comfortable environment.
Toward this goal, staffs in Department of Sustainable
Resource Sciences, a combined organization of natural and
social scientists, are carrying out wide varieties of unique
researches on bioscience, bioengineering and social
science.
